Noah's School Picture

Noah's got a big noggin! At his 18 month appointment, he was at 95th percentile for head size. At his 2 year appointment this week, he's now at 97%. That means he has a big brain...right?

2 Year Pictures

2 Years Old....another milestone, so you know what that means. Yep, another potrait session fiasco. Noah hates getting his pictures done. It's a complete and total nightmare every time, but we do it anyway just to torture him. If we manage to get a couple of decent shots, we consider that a success. Here are some pictures we got done last weekend.

Noah's Second Birthday Party

Last Saturday we threw a small party for Noah's second birthday. He got a lot of fun toys, although we waited until after the party (and his nap) to open them because there's no way he would have sat there and opened gifts. Next year I think things will be a lot different! My friends all brought their kids over and everyone played inside and out. A lot of our family was there as well. We grilled burgers & hot dogs and ate cupcakes and ice cream for dessert. We had a great time!

Noah is 2!

I can't believe it, but my little 'baby' is two! He is becoming such a little boy. He talks ALL THE TIME. He knows all of his colors, can count to 13, and is learning the alphabet slowly but surely. He's also proving that the "terrible twos" isn't just a cute phrase. This child whines like no other, with some really lovely tantrums thrown in to spice it up. He's 2 and I feel 82. We just keep telling ourselves that he's a toddler and that all toddlers are this way and that he'll grow out of it...someday. :) But I can't complain too much - he really is a great kid and he never fails to amaze us with the stuff he learns. Trevor has been accepted into grad school! Noah & I are so proud of him. He was just admitted into Sam Houston State University's top ranked College of Criminal Justice to pursue his Master of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership & Management. He starts in the Fall and the program is 2 years.

Introducing the Seitzes!

Trevor's sister got married this past Saturday. Unfortunately, I missed the entire ceremony because someone (who shall remain nameless) was totally uninterested in sitting still in the pew and instead wanted to run up and down the aisle. But, we had a good time anyway. Kylie looked beautiful and she and Steven both looked so happy! (And they had some awesome meatballs at the reception, which made ME happy.) Congratulations to them!

From snow to spring...

Last week Noah's school took some Spring pictures. They're cute (of course) even if they did comb his hair a little too far back. :)

Snow!!

It snowed a few weeks ago...which means that we, of course, bundled up the little man and let him run around outside for a little bit. And when I say "run around", I mean stand in one spot while Daddy pelted him with snowballs. But he had a great time and for days afterwards would go to the window and say "SNOW!" (which was actually 'snow' without the "s"). Here are couple pics.

My mom and I took a quick trip to NC last weekend. The main reason was so that she could talk to some companies about the hill right behind the house. Unless we do something to stabilize it, it's going to wash away. She talked to 3 guys and we're waiting for estimates. Interestingly, all 3 had different suggestions on what to do.

We also did a little shopping and did a few more things in the house - hung some pictures, etc. It was really nice to sleep in every day. :)

Noah is now 21 months old and he is saying new words every day - it's so cool. I went to NC for 5 days and when I got back he was saying 'phone' and 'bus'. His favorite phrase lately is "all done", which means he wants to leave the dinner table. Here are a few recent pictures, including one from last weekend when Trevor took Noah to the North Texas Irish Festival!

While we were in MD, Trevor got to take a "Discovery Flight". If you are interested in getting your pilot's license, you can sometimes take one of these flights from a local school. It's supposed to get you all psyched up about flying. Trevor isn't getting his pilot's license, but he took the flight anyway just for the experience. It looked like so much fun and he said he had a great time. They take you up for about 30 minutes and then they let you take over and fly! How cool is that?

While in MD, Trevor and I took a short trip to Washington, DC. It was way too cold and rainy, so it was kind of a crappy trip, but I'm sure we'll have plenty of opportunities to go back. We stayed in the Air & Space Museum for a while because it was so warm. :)

We spent Christmas in Baltimore. My grandparents, brother & his wife, aunt & uncle, cousins, etc., all live there, so we go every year. Noah still doesn't understand what Christmas is all about, but he had a great time opening his gifts.

Did you miss me?

I know I haven't updated the blog in a while. I wasn't able to add any pictures to my online photo album because I ran out of space. So, I made all of the pictures smaller and reposted them all...which caused my host to shut my gallery down completely because I was using too much bandwidth. Oops.

But I'm all set now and will try to catch up on a few things...here goes.
